Booking Conditions

1.

Cheque, Postal Order, Bank Transfer, Euro Cheque, Sterling Bank Draft – quoting your name. Bookings will be confirmed on receipt of deposits. Please ensure balances are paid on or before due date, or you could lose your booking. Payments are made in accordance with EC Package Holiday Legislation and are held in a trust account until completion of your course. Under the Commercial Debts (Interest) Act, overdue accounts will be charged interest.

2. If you cancel you must notify us as soon as possible, confirming this in writing by recorded delivery or fax. Deposits and any insurance will be forfeited.

Cancelations made within the final balance due period will forfeit the amounts as shown below:

If we cancel or make a major alteration to your holiday/course we will inform you promptly and offer a free transfer to a substitute holiday/course or a full refund.

In the event of closure to roads or facilities such as ski centres Active will endeavour to provide an alternative activity, this activity will be at the discretion of Active staff and may not necessarily be an outdoor sport. Refunds will not be available.

3. We recommend that clients organise insurance for their holiday/course in respect of injury, lost baggage & money, liability, cancelation & curtailment, medical expenses, death rescue and repatriation. We can provide information regarding suitable cover.

4. For your safety and the safety of others, it is imperative that clients abide by the decisions of our leaders/instructors who are qualified and highly experienced. All participants (parents/guardians) must familiarise themselves with activity information plus safety points provided by us prior to the event. Alcohol or illicit drug use is not permitted prior to or during activities, as this will affect your performance and ability to cope with conditions, compromising the safety of the whole group. For insurance purposes and for the comfort of other clients smoking and consuming alcohol is not permitted on Active vehicles.

We reserve the right to make changes to planned route and itineraries as a result of adverse conditions.

It is the client’s responsibility to inform their leader/instructor/the company if they feel unwell or are suffering from any medical condition or are on medication, which may affect their performance.

5. We ask that all groups/participants show respect to equipment/vehicles throughout their venture. All groups/participants issued with equipment must use it with due care and respect.

Any persons/groups misusing, abusing, defacing equipment/vehicles which results in it being damaged or lost will be responsible for it’s replacement.

6. We want you to enjoy your experience in the outdoors to it’s fullest, if you are dissatisfied with any aspect of the service provided by Active Outdoor Pursuits, please inform us as soon as possible and we will take appropriate action.

7. Active Outdoor Pursuits will not be liable for any loss, damage or expense resulting from any unforeseen circumstances outwith our control. Active Outdoor Pursuits will only be liable for the loss or damage caused by the proven negligence or default of the company or it’s employees in performing their obligations, under this agreement. We believe that details contained in this brochure are correct at the time of publication. All arrangements made on behalf of clients are made in good faith. We reserve the right to alter the information, prices and itineraries published in this brochure before accepting a booking and in which case these changes will be binding upon both parties.

8. All prices quoted included VAT at the current rate. Please note that increases in the rate of VAT or the introduction of VAT to items previously exempt or zero rated, could result in price increases.
